Hello, My name is Mark Plotkin. I'm a 23 year-old chess player from Toronto Canada, and I'm an International Master. I started playing chess when I was 4, and became an IM in the summer of 2020. I mainly specialize in coming up with strong plans, strategic, and positional concepts as well as endgame play. I'm also a big fan of playing basketball, hiking, road trips, biking and skiing!

About the tutor

I have over 10 years of teaching experience, I currently teach for a school, and I have private lessons. My lessons are taught through Zoom using lichess. The studies stay there forever, thus it becomes very easy to review the lesson after the class. I have a list of topics that I let the student choose, and then I spend an hour with them analyzing the topic and then giving homework with the intention of ensuring that they understand the concept that was taught.
